At Assuta, we feel it’s important to provide service that is respectful and egalitarian, enabling independence for all who come to us. To this end, we constantly strive to make our services suitable for all members of the community.
These efforts include continuous work to adapt our medical centers and the services they provide to better suit persons with disabilities. To do so, we invest great effort and resources to improve the service experience and to narrow the gaps in service. All of Assuta’s efforts to improve the accessibility of our medical centers and services for persons with disabilities are made in accordance with the provisions of the 1998 Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law and its regulations.

Website Accessibility
According to a Microsoft study from 2003, some 20-25% of the population have difficulty using the Internet and are likely to benefit from more accessible website content. An accessible website is one that enables persons with disabilities to browse with the same ease and enjoyment as all other users.
As part of Assuta’s efforts to ensure egalitarian and respectful access to service, we work towards equality of opportunity in cyberspace, and include assistive technology on our website for the convenience of users with disabilities.
Except for PDF files, most of the website content has been made accessible to people with disabilities. Nevertheless, some of the content may not yet have been adjusted for accessibility.
Assuta Ashdod Hospital is continuing its efforts to improve the website accessibility for persons with disabilities, as part of our commitment to enable its use by all members of the public.
