Samson Assuta Ashdod Hospital serves more than half a million people including veteran Israelis and new immigrants with diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Located just 16 miles (25 km) from the Gaza Strip, the hospital features a unique bomb shelter design that protects patients and staff from missile attack and chemical warfare.

Assuta Ashdod has already proven lifesaving, by providing wounded soldiers and citizens with immediate access to emergency and urgent care treatment and equipment.

Israel's first green, environmentally friendly hospital, Assuta Ashdod is affiliated with Ben Gurion University Medical School, and helps train Israel's next generation of doctors.
